TEEN AUTHOR STONE ERICKSON SPEAKS TO KIDS AT WRITERS & PUBLISHING WORKSHOP

(Atlanta, GA) 16-year-old Science Fiction Author of the Year, Stone Erickson will speak to students on Saturday November 2, 2013 at Dutchtown Middle School for the Youth Writers and Publishing Workshop. Stone Erickson will share his journey of writing his first novel “Black Angel” to encourage other kids to write and follow their dreams.

As a former mentee of the EMBDODI program, Stone Erickson wants to give back to the program that pushed his writing skills and creativity to publish one of Amazon’s top-selling sci-fi novels “Black Angel.” Stone Erickson will be featured on the panel of the Youth Writers & Publishing workshop where other kids will have the opportunity to ask questions about writing or his novel. Students will also have a chance to purchase a specially autographed copy of “Black Angel” following the presentation.

The young author recently won Science Fiction Author of the Year at the prestigious AALAS and launched Black Boys Can Read and Write, a literary campaign geared towards changing the perception of African-American boys in society and their self-perception. Stone Erickson is set to release the second novel of the series for the 2013 holiday season.
