Crystal Nicole joins Lyfe Jennings to serenade the nation’s capital

November 19, 2012

Singer/songwriter Crystal Nicole took the stage before a packed house at the historic and newly renovated Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, November 17. The Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter performed a medley of songs including a cover of the smash hit by the Fugees, “Killing Me Softly”, and gave the sold out crowd a peek of her upcoming debut album, scheduled to be released next year. As the audience dined and enjoyed delicious meals, the songstress belted out tunes while the fans praised her undeniable vocals. Years of singing background vocals on some of music’s biggest starlets prepared the songstress to command the stage like a pro. Crystal Nicole is the opening act for R&B singer Lyfe Jennings on his select city mini tour.

Crystal Nicole, best known for being “the Ink” behind the chart-topping hits like “Only Girl in the World” by Rihanna, “Love All Over Me” by Monica, “25/8” by Mary J. Blige, and many more, was beaming after her performance. She stated, “It’s finally time to concentrate on me and my solo project. I’ve been singing all my life. In fact, I think I sang before I talked but now feels right and I’m ready.”

Between penning award-winning hits for her peers, Crystal Nicole has been hard at work on her debut album. She has worked with numerous producers and is excited for the 2013 release of her new single, “Few Good Men”. You can stay up to date with Crystal Nicole by following her on Twitter @1CrystalNicole.
