2012 Runway RED Wonderland Safari (Video)
Show Me the Way Foundation in conjunction with African Pride Dream Kids brought out celebrities and their A-list offspring for a starlit night of fashion and entertainment for a charitable cause at the 2012 Runway RED: Wonderland Safari Kids Fashion Show on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Zoo Atlanta served as the perfect back drop for the fourth annual fashion extravaganza. The mini-celebs and children from the Atlanta community rocked the runway in fashion provided by Reebok, Tiny Pant Kids, Converse, Etnies, TrukFit presented by UNICA, Adidas, Spray Ground, 10 Deep Box ShopCelebrityKids.com and Linda Gale. Proceeds raised from the fourth annual fashion gala will help Show Me the Way Foundation’s efforts to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS and its effects on children affected or infected by the disease. Supermodel Cynthia Bailey (RHOA) directed the show, offering the children last minute words of encouragement as they strut their stuff in front of a sold out show.
The children of T.I., Evander Holyfield, Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Lil’ Scrappy, Pastor Troy and a host of other talented children ripped the Runway RED. Attendees enjoyed the Dream Kids VIP suite in the panda exhibit and a special performance by Big Lo Entertainment’s 16 year-old vocal sensation Nia Holloway of her latest single “Super Duper Fly.” Councilmen Michael Julian Bond presented proclamation from the City of Atlanta to Tashawyna Menefee (President & Founder of Show Me the Way Foundation), Cynthia Bailey (The Bailey Agency School of Fashion) and Charlene Bastien (Strength of Nature National Marketing Director/African Pride Dream Kids Hair Care) for their philanthropic contributions to the city of Atlanta and urban community.
