ATLANTA— Chilli’s Crew, a non-profit organization founded by 5x Grammy Award winner Chilli of chart-topping music group TLC, is pleased to announce its first Chilli’s Crew Summer Camp for Girls. The 3 day camp, which will take place July 20-22, is dedicated to improving the lives of girls ages 13-17.

Chilli’s Crew began when Chilli had a desire to be a positive influence on girls and felt the need to follow through with her vision. The organization’s first event presented a group of girls with professional mini makeovers and a day of pampering at an Atlanta hair salon and day spa to help boost their self-esteem and confidence. “I’ve always been a big believer in giving back to the community, especially when it comes to children”, says Chilli. “There is so much pressure and influence, whether in school or on T.V. on young girls today that affects their self-esteem. I want to provide a positive outlet for these young ladies to not only enjoy themselves, but to also take away lessons that will later guide them in life.”

Chilli’s Crew Summer Camp for Girls will provide the young ladies with opportunities to participate in workshops and build a relationship with mentors from different industries. Mentors will conduct workshops on health, fitness, beauty, business, entertainment and social media that will give the girls knowledge to apply to their everyday lives. Mentors will include Hip Hop pioneer MC Lyte, who will give us the history of the female emcee and how far they have come in music, Atlanta celeb fitness trainer, Lauren Whitmore of Total Fitness Revolution who will conduct a nutrition and exercise workshop; music industry marketing veteran and author, Shanti Das who will present the benefits and importance of networking; event and marketing guru, Keshia Walker of Insights Marketing and Promotions, will display the life of a female entrepreneur; OB/GYN to the stars Dr. Tosha Rogers will convey on the topic of “Body Talk”; makeup and beauty experts Kimberly Walker and Linda Ripoll of Brown Girl Beauty Collective will demonstrate great skincare and makeup application; entertainment publicist and author Christal Jordan of Enchanted PR will reveal how to maintain a great image through the use of social media.

Aside from sponsorship from Zaxby’s, FUZE has joined in as the official beverage sponsor for Chilli’s 2012 summer camp for girls. FUZE is a fruit flavored beverage with nutrients added owned by Coca-Cola. Also providing products and services are Dasani, Mr. Everything Café, R. Thomas’ Deluxe Grill, Dark and Lovely, 26* Inc., Girls’ Life Magazine, Kingsmen Media Group, Moe’s, TCBY, and Regal Tara Cinemas.
